Privacy policy

Updated · 2026-08-03

Draft. This document describes how the project works in plain language and is undergoing legal review. Until that is complete it is not a public offer or a final legal document. Questions: info@edom.kz.

We collect the minimum, explain why, keep it under access control, and delete it on request. Data about a building belongs to that building.

What we collect

Through the form: your first and last name, organisation, role, city, phone, email and the text of your enquiry. You provide these voluntarily.

Automatically: anonymised visit statistics — page views, referrer, device type and language. We use no advertising trackers and set no analytics cookies.

Within pilot projects: technical information about a building — structures, engineering systems, equipment, condition, documents, photographs and inspection results. What is collected, and the rules for using it, are agreed in a separate document before work begins.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and discuss taking part in a pilot or a partnership.

To understand which parts of the site people read, so we can explain the project better.

We do not sell personal data and do not pass it to third parties for marketing.

How we protect it

Minimisation: we ask only for the fields without which we could not reply.

Separated access: only the project's founders can see incoming enquiries.

Change logging, encryption in transit, and backups.

Material used in research is anonymised.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: until the conversation concludes, and thereafter no more than three years, so the history of a discussion with a partner is preserved.

You can ask us to correct or delete your data at any time by writing to info@edom.kz.

Who owns a building's data

Data about a building belongs to that building and its owners. Rules for access, use and transfer are agreed in writing before work begins, separately from consent to process personal data.

Any commercial use of data is agreed separately and is not implied by taking part in a pilot.
